“A step in the right direction”: UA raises the minimum wage for employees, working students in July

Many University of Arizona employees will soon be able to count on extra money on their paychecks thanks to an upcoming increase in the minimum wage for campus workers. From July 1, 2023, the minimum hourly wage will be EUR 15.00 for university employees and EUR 14.50 for working students.

This change is a result of Proposition 206, which Tucson voters approved in November 2021. The increase to $15 an hour isn’t mandated until 2025, but the university has decided to implement the increase sooner. (Read more)
