El Colectivo de Mujeres Rosa Luxemburg es un grupo de amigas, trabajadoras y trabajadoras de las maquiladoras de Ciudad Juárez. Este colectivo inició su labor organizativa desde muy joven. Ha habido situaciones que nos llevaron a cuestionar el sistema y las formas de contratación, las formas de fabricación de las empresas. Hemos recorrido ese camino durante más de 20 años. El trabajo que hacemos en el colectivo es como los otros procesos como en México. Es dar a conocer los derechos laborales, concienciar a los trabajadores de que tienen derecho a defenderse. La situación que vivimos en el ámbito laboral no es la mejor. Que podamos tener mejor y tener acceso a mejores condiciones. El colectivo se formó oficialmente en 2013 a pesar de que se hicieron esfuerzos antes. Enfrentamos mucha hostilidad en las primeras etapas de organización a pesar de reconocer que la defensa de los derechos humanos tenía que continuar a pesar de las circunstancias desfavorables. Necesitábamos seguir estableciendo las condiciones para la vida cotidiana, la ciudad, la población y las transiciones.

La primera etapa estuvo marcada por mucha oposición, tenacidad, modestos éxitos, numerosos retrocesos y modestos avances. La vida de los trabajadores cambiará significativamente como resultado de los avances que estamos experimentando. Seguimos con la tarea de crear un colectivo, y ahora que estamos un poco más establecidos, articulados y estructurados, la estamos llevando a cabo. Creemos que ese es uno de los mayores problemas porque es evidente que todas las políticas e impactos tienen un efecto sobre la capacidad de formar asociaciones y proteger los derechos de los trabajadores. No es delito proteger los derechos laborales, y desde la ciudad y los trabajadores estamos trabajando para cambiar esta situación con el mismo discurso de antes pero con más fuerza. Colectivo de Mujeres Rosa Luxemburg is a group of friends, workers, and maquiladora workers in Ciudad Juárez. This collective began its organizational work from a very young age. There have been situations that led us to question the system and the forms of contracting, the manufacturing forms of the companies. We have walked this path for more than 20 years. The work we do in the collective is just like the other processes in Mexico. It is letting people know about labor rights, making workers aware that they have the right to defend themselves. The situation we live in the workplace is not the best. That we can have better and have access to better conditions. The collective was officially formed in 2013 even though efforts were made prior. We faced a lot of hostility in the early stages of organizing despite recognizing that the defense of human rights had to go on despite the unfavorable circumstances. We needed to keep establishing the conditions for daily life, the city, the populace, and transitions. 

The first stage was marked by a great deal of opposition, tenacity, modest successes, numerous setbacks, and modest advancements. The life of the workers will significantly change as a result of the advancements we are experiencing. We carry on with the task of creating a collective, and now that we are a little more established, articulate, and structured, we are carrying it out. We believe that is one of the biggest issues because it is apparent that all policies and impacts have an effect on the ability to form associations and protect workers’ rights. It is not a crime to protect labor rights, and we in the city and the workers are working to change this situation by using the same discourse as before but with greater vigor.
