CINCINNATI —Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is raising its minimum wage to $15 an hour starting in January 2020.

Children’s officials said around 3,000 minimum wage employees will see a pay increase from its current minimum wage of $11 starting Jan. 5.

“This increase to $15 an hour represents a significant, intentional and additional commitment to the well-being and success of our people,” Michael Fisher, president and CEO of Cincinnati Children’s, said.

The $6.45 per hour pay increase will be the result of an annual investment of around $5.5 million.

“To be the leader in child health, we need to be a leader in supporting and investing in our people,” Fisher said. “Substantially increasing wages is just one way we continue to attract – and keep – top talent at all levels.”
