Concert for Juárez

March 21, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Event Details:
Maquiladora workers are rising in Ciudad Juarez! They are protesting $5 per day wages and abusive working conditions, and demanding independent unions. Their courageous actions are presenting a direct challenge to the “free trade” regime that keeps people in poverty in Mexico to increase the profits of transnational corporations. The Concert for Juarez benefits union organizing in Ciudad Juarez. Performers include Francisco Herrera and Diego Sardaneta, and guest speaker Frank Martin del Campo who represents MORENA en al Exterior. It is on Wednesday, March 21, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 pre-paid or $15 at the door and children under 12 are free!

About our Headliner:

With his sense of hope, Francisco Herrera will be headlining our event and performing his new song in which was created in the defense of children crossing the border, DACA, Dreamers, TPS families, and a call for Sanctuary!

“These children are our Future and our present chance to end militarism and welcome the victims of our violence.” –Herrera, F.
