San Francisco Living Wage Coalition

Federal economic stimulus funding passed by congress last year created jobs in non-profit organizations to provide services to the community in the Jobs Now and Community Jobs Program. That funding ends September 30, 2010, and so do those jobs. The U.S. Senate is now debating whether to pass more job stimulus funding. Make your voices heard to your Senators to continue the job stimulus funding and to include funding for social infrastructure: youth programs, tutoring, home care, childcare, eeldercare and other community service jobs. Come to a planning meeting to strategize on fighting to continue the funding, Friday February 19th  6pm to 8pm at SF Living Wage office 2940 - 16th St. Room 301 (between Mission and South Van Ness) Childcare provided please call beforehand to let us know how many children and their ages.
